ALLES WAS ICH WEISS ALL I KNOW

Performance

'The beginning was beautiful. This sensual approach to the portrait, and the places. First the topography and the magic of names. I have thought about the recollection a bit myself. They say that there are three topoi: names, places and smells. I have always been fascinated with this. Though so terribly abstract, a name seems to be more than real. The more I try to keep everything very clearly in my mind or to make it a matter of communication or objectivity, memory and recollection fail to be reliable in a way. That's why I enjoyed this play with distance a lot, this attempt at finding out about the number of tram stops between you and him, these years, these figures. The proofs that never can be proof. Names, however, are not definite and ideal for storing a lot of things. Father. A name, too. Then architecture, and then this sensual experience of smell. You have to be close to one another for that.
